In here emperors arranged fight of gladiators to entertain their public. Also there were theaters, imitated see wars, animals hunting, dramas, executions. Besides it was used for shelters, shops, stone quarries, tombs. In 7th july 2007 it was chosen one of the world’s seven wonders. It has damaged because of the earthquick and some of its stones have stolen. However it is still symbol of Rome and Pope arranged torchlight procession before easter on Fridays .
